On April 25th Damian went into the studio with Amanda Palmer, Neil Gaiman, and Ben Folds with a mission to create eight songs in eight hours. The result is the six song album, entitled Nighty Night.
Damian + Amanda + Neil + Ben = Rethink Music
Today, Damian joins his friends (and yours) Amanda Palmer, Neil Gaiman, and Ben Folds at the Rethink Music conference in Boston to write and record eight songs in eight hours. Then play a concert. And release an album. And explore/re-conceptualize the entire notion of artistic creation and its mechanical dissemination and human reception in these topsy-turvy modern times of ours.
The webstream is embedded above, and can also be found directly at http://partyontheinternet.com/
To follow along on twitter, follow the hashtag #8in8
Naturally, we’ll be video streaming the entire eight hour process, beginning around 4 pm ET, or whenever we figure out how to plug everything in correctly. As soon as it is up and running we’ll embed the live stream here, and tell you all about it on Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Geo Art Friday!
Remember last fall when we went on that psycho-spatial-geo-musical-techno-sonic party parade through downtown Los Angeles with battery-powered amps (and possibly you) and spelled OK Go with Range Rover’s Pulse of the City app? That was awesome.
Since then, a bunch more people (and, again, quite possibly you) have etched, sketched, and danced their ways across various cities around the world. Check out some of the gorgeous Geo Art:

The Greatest Week Of Your Life
Damian and Tim, educating Morgan Spurlock
We are pleased to announce the brand new OK Go single, “The Greatest Song I Ever Heard.” It’s the theme song for the new Morgan “Super Size Me” Spurlock movie, POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and we think you’re gonna love it. The song is available right here on our website, as well as on iTunes, Amazon, and most likely from your favorite online retailer as well.

United Kingdom
This collection of giant golf balls has been mysteriously enmeshed in the earth somewhere in the south of England and recently we have been invited to play a show within them. You just don’t say no to an offer like that. Especially not when the lineup includes superstars like The Flaming Lips and The Go! Team… So consider this the official announcement of our June 30 show in the plant-friendly, bubble wrap paradise that is The Eden Project (pictured above) in Cornwall, England.
And the night before our biome blast, we’ll be in London for our June 29 show at KOKO London, a beautiful concert space in the 111-year-old (non-bio)domed Camden Theatre.
North America
But before all of that, we’ll be celebrating St. Patricks Day in traditional fashion by playing a 7am boozefest in Denver, Colorado (as one does). On March 17 Denver’s 93.3 is sponsoring the 2011 Keggs and Eggs celebration and we’ll be there, party hat securely affixed to our collective heads. Joining us are Darling Thieves and Reno Divorce so, you know, set your alarm.
After the keggstravaganza, we’ll be heading down to Mexico City for Spring Break (woot) and to join the 2011 Spring Quesadilla Tour (seriously) at the Hippodrome of the Americas on March 25th. We’ll be playing with some great bands, including Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Local Natives, and Yeasayer. After Mexico City, we’re heading over to Guadalajara for our March 26 show at the Teatro Estudio Cavaret. Tickets just went on sale. Get yours here. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you. Hasta pronto, Mexico. And hasta pronto, spring and summer.
